Herbalism is a very handy skill you learn early on as a monk.
It not only creates potions that heal, and cure poison, but creating them
earns you valuable experience points.
There are several kinds of herb's you can produce. To create these herbs you
are required to have a cloth glove equipped, also some herbs need either wax
or wine. You can get wax from bee's in the eastern woodlands, and wine is
readily availble at all taverns, some monks can higgle some for you also.
Head out to the enchanted garden with your wine, wax and equipped cloth glove
to begin herbalism. Please note that a day's labour is needed to create a potion.
I reccomend that you take an assistant who also know's herbalism to assist you,
as it requires less time and you have more of a chance of success.
Walk around the plants in the garden, and tread lightly. Once you locate the herb
you desire, start the process.
Every so often, you will attain a legend mark stating you are a herbalist (herbalism (1) )
the higher your level, you get more chance of success and a chance of getting more potion
out of a bottle of wine. Practice your herbalism will, as it will be needed to craft some
of you future armour's

Hydele Deum (also known as Brown potion)

This potion is one of the most usefull potions a monk can create and only second to Beothaich Deum (red potion) in importance. Simply put, this potion fully heals the user to full health. The plants are large and vibrant red, they are very hard to miss. Stem into the bush, pluck a few leaves and start mixing it in with the wine. With some luck, and skill you create the potion of life, that is The Hydele Deum.

Personaca Deum

Often confused with Hydele deum, this potion cure's an aisling of poison. Rendered useless in hunts by the monks abilities to cure poioson, this potion is only needed by Aisling willing to aid out a grieving mother and her poisoned child in the "Mother's Love" quest. A relativley hard herb to cultivate personaca is a small purple leafed plant. Locate the herb, pluck it gently, as it breaks easily and mix in with wine.

Betony Deum

Myth has it that the betony plant can cast a protection spell on an aisling, however no herbalist has ever managed to aquire that effect. Its only visbile attribute is removing nightmare's from one's dream's. Help the mother's in the taverns with this vanilla potion. You could earn yourself a purple flower which is quite the rare artifact. (mother's love quest). The bright white leaves on this plant make it stand out, it is the easiet to aquire, mix it in with wine and rid a child of her nightmares.

Fifleaf Deum

A potion that revives a small amount of health, Fifleaf is not sought after, so it is rarely grown. Higglers in Mileth grow them, for reasons unknown to me, but you can find them growing outside their door's. I dont reccommend you create any of these potions since they are useless if you make Hydele deums. As with the previous herbs, find the leaf, and mix it with wine. The potion has a green tinge to it. Do not confuse it with the deadly hemloch deum.

Hemloch Deum

This potion is deadly, it warns you with its stench as you approach it. Any monk brave enough to cultivate it shoul be sane enough not to drink it. This potion will bring you very close to death. Warriors require this potion for several things, to start a quest of honour (Karnun) or to practice the skill "Crasher". The hemloch weed grow's near lake soaked rocks. Its main source is undine. Mix with wine and you will have a dark green potion.

Ancusa Ceir

Finally the last herb you will be using is the ancusa.
This herb is used mainly to cure burns of the mother in the Mother's Love quest. Ancusa can be found along banks of river's mainly in peit and undine. I prefer heading to piet as it is easier to avoid the wretched hemloch. Make sure you carry a peice of raw wax with you to mix it with the Ancusa. You will then Create Speckled wax to apply to the burns.
